100% plant-based with Gluten free options as well, The Pitted Date is a must! They are open every day from 8am - 8pm serving delicious Vegan meals that will blow your mind. Breakfast options include sweet things like gluten free hotcakes and waffles, while they also have yummy savory options like the famous completely vegan omelette and breakfast sandwiches. We love the vegan omelette! It’s a customer favorite, for sure.
Lunch options at The Pitted Date include soups, sandwiches and salads always made from super fresh, organic ingredients. Gluten free baked goods are even available in their little retail shop. Expect to pay about $300 pesos per person for a satisfying 100% plant-based meal. We would be remiss if we didn’t mention to definitely try the Banana Sushi - you will be so happy you did!

Clorofila Green & Vegan
Clorofila is a project that seeks to bring a plant-based diet closer to people. Their menu is based upon purifying recipes with ingredients that conserve their nutrients and preparation techniques that enhance them. We love that Clorofila has their own greenhouse where they grown organic food, free from pesticides and any harmful chemicals. Everything is handmade by the cooks with the best ingredients, free from conservatives, food dyes or artificial ingredients.
Open 9am - 10pm; Closed on Sunday, Clorofila serves all day breakfast and gluten free options that are 100% plant based. Soups, salads, sandwiches, sushi, ceviche, desserts, tacos and gluten free vegan pizza fill this eclectic menu. We love the pizza and Clorofila has 6 options available on their menu or you can create your own for $190 pesos for a three topping pizza. Finding amazing vegan pizza can sometimes be a mission, but the gluten free pizza here is something you absolutely must try.

BIO-Natural
This vegan and vegetarian restaurant has two locations in Playa del Carmen. Each BIO-Natural has a health food store attached with products ranging from sulfate free shampoos to gluten free breads and homemade vegan dips. Open each day at 8am, this restaurant is open later than most vegan or vegetarian options, closing at 11pm each night.
Breakfast options are plenty at BIO-Natural and we love that free range eggs are used in the breakfast dishes. You will also find plenty of hearty and filling salads and quinoa bowls. Breakfast and lunch combos are available for you as well in this mid priced dining option.
We’ve loved trying all of the freshly made cold pressed juices and healthy shots/elixirs that help to give you energy or an immunity boost. You can choose from hemp or spirulina smoothies and know the option is always there to add any superfood to your juice or smoothie.
If you need supplements, copal, cruelty free hand made soap and locally made kombucha, we definitely suggest you go to BIONatural while in town.

La Senda Vegana
La Senda Vegana is super centrally located in the middle of Playa del Carmen. It is also a vegan restaurant not to be missed. We love walking into the calm and open atmosphere of this place. Open everyday from 8:30am - 10:30pm, La Senda is a great option for late night vegan dining.
You can find local Mexican cuisine prepared vegan and plant-based such as tamales and tacos smothered in amazing sauces with epic flavors. Delicious vegan burgers are also available at La Senda and we can’t get enough of the pita or the raw veggie noodle pasta! Be sure to try all of the vegan desserts, especially the brownie - you will love us for this!

In the mood for matcha or cacao waffles with your organic coffee? Look no further for this amazing breakfast pairing because Fresco Habito has you covered. Open each day from 8am - 7pm, you will love what this place has to offer. The variety of fresh, healthy options on this menu menu is a dream for any Vegan or non-Vegan alike.
We highly suggest you trying out one of the Buddha Bowls while here. Our favorite is the Hippie Bowl that comes with quinoa, kale, spinach, sweet potato, broccoli, avocado, hemp hearts, goji berries and more for $160 pesos. Fresco Habito has 22 Smoothies to choose from with coconut milk or almond milk for $75 - $90 pesos.
There are also medicinal shots, like the activated charcoal shot with coconut water and lime, that is a great for overall health. The Super Bowls (smoothie bowls) are packed with fruit and superfood goodness like acai, matcha and mango to name a few. Make sure to get an order of the passionfruit chia pudding for breakfast - yummy!

Aloha Raw Bar
If eating your breakfast out of fresh coconuts or pineapples is your thing - because why wouldn’t it be,after all we are in Paradise - Aloha Raw Bar is your place. Thick fruit smoothies served in cute mason jar glasses in a tucked away Hawaiian style bar in the middle of Playa Del Carmen, Mexico.
Aloha says they have the best acai bowls in town and we’d have to agree. Served in a fresh pineapple and piled high with exotic fruits and toppings, this is one menu item to not miss.
Come for the super cute and chilled out atmosphere and stay for the delicious breakfast offerings. Avocado toast, thick fluffy waffles with real maple syrup, crepes and of course the smoothie bowls are what we love about this place. You can even get your matcha on with a latte or matcha flavored vegan waffle.

Sangha-Rito
We’ve saved one of the best vegan restaurants in Playa for last. Sangha-Rito is a local and super healthy restaurant which serves delicious Mexican food, salads and freshly made juices and elixirs. Breakfast and lunch specials are available here and there are so many wonderful local options on the menu. The lunch specials or menu of the day, comes with soup or salad, your main plate, drink and a dessert for under $100 pesos. If you are vegan in Playa del Carmen you really need to eat here!
Be sure to check out and try as many of the healthy drinks that are made-to-order. The Jugoterapia menu, or drink menu is very large with plenty of healthy options for you. Enjoy a large, freshly made green juice for only $45 pesos! Their smoothies and healing elixirs have ayurvedic names such as Vata, Pita or Kapha to assist in balancing these energies within you.
Located a little bit out of Centro, but not far by any means, you will find locals and tourists alike, enjoying the delicious local vegan and vegetarian Mexican cuisine.
