If you love animals then there really is only one way to get up close to them, and that is by observing them in their natural habitat, and not in captivity. The best place to see dolphins in the Riviera Maya is not in a dolphinarium but in Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.

Sian Ka’an is a National Park covering 5280 km²/1304714 acres, making it the third largest protected area in Mexico. Established in 1986 the biosphere reserve is as well a UNESCO World Heritage Site and considered one of the most beautiful areas of the Yucatan Peninsula. As it is a protected area, swimming with the animals is against the park rules and not allowed. However, we do offer snorkeling on the coral reef if weather conditions allow.

Boat ride over the lagoon with crocodile, manatee and bird watching

Charter your private vessel (2 hours) to cruise the lagoon of one of the largest eco-reserves in the world at the Biosphere Reserve of Sian Ka'an. If the conditions allow us, we will encounter local marine life, we can observe manatees, crocodiles, observe from the surface the remains of a mysterious Mayan ruin.

This tour experience is interesting for those who enjoy a boat ride, nature, bird watching and might want to get surprised by manatee and crocodile sightings.

Afterward, head home or first stop for lunch anywhere you'd like the Tulum area. Private tours are about freedom. With the help of your host, you choose exactly what you'd like for lunch. Our transportation to any option in the area will be at no extra cost. *Guests cover lunch expense

This excursion does NOT visit the Punta Allen area and does NOT include snorkeling.
