Getting up early is the key to a successful and fun packed whale shark encounter. We leave port at 07:00 AM in order to be first out on the water. That means pick up at your hotel or vacation rental can be early, but it's worth it!

- The price does not include a fee of $13 USD per person for the nature reserve and dock, which will be due at the marina.
GENERAL RULES

DO NOT TOUCH ANY ANIMAL! Respect them!

If wild animals (e. g. iguanas, lions, monkeys) are exposed, please DO NOT support that by taking pictures.

Keep a minimum distance of 5 m / 15 feet to the animal

The ability to swim is required
-
Life-jackets are mandatory
-
Rash guards only / NO SUNSCREEN

Please do not put any sunscreen on before we go into the cenotes or the ocean.

If taking pictures, disable the flash / selfie sticks are not allowed
-
Respect the word of your captain and guide

Part of the regulations of the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources is: It is prohibited to swim without a life jacket "immersions in the water", per group of tourists will be a maximum of two – the last word has always the captain (free)diving with the whalesharks is not allowed.

In the rare case of finding less then 5 sharks, only observation from the boat is allowed.

The use of drones, (selfie) sticks, camera with flash are prohibited.

The consumption of alcohol, drugs or any psychotropic substance is prohibited
